Over the last few months, I’ve been gathering all my “ducks up in a row”, shifting, then reorganizing those duck in an effort to get them “just right” before diving into the adventure of launching my new blog. Yet it started to become clear to me that my efforts at organized “professionalism” were bordering on avoidance “excuses”. You know that fine line between being committed to a quality product versus giving in to the urge to “put it off just one more day” – and then one more day after that…?

Recently, I have become active on the new Social Networking site, Twitter. And many of the people I follow on Twitter are avid and inspiring advocates of taking Massive Forward Action Now! Not waiting on the sidelines until everything is “just perfect” – because perfection is an illusion. Someone who exemplifies this practice is Gary Vaynerchuk (@garyvee on Twitter) of Wine Library TV. One of his main messages is to do what you love without apology, get started NOW, and to work your “face” off until you succeed – there is no other option! Of course he conveys this message with a huge dose of rough and humorous charisma that is hard to resist.

As I have been listening to his many incarnations of this core message, I became increasingly aware of a place in my own life where I was holding back – not living full out…the launching of this blog. So this week I made the decision to take that leap – to cast aside my “I don’t know how to use WordPress ” excuse and simply dive in.

One supportive tool I acquired in my preparations for launching this blog was the book, Does This Blogsite Make My Wallet Look Fat, by Sandra DeFreitas. So far, I have found it to be extremely straight-forward and helpful in guiding me step-by-step through launching and refining all of the elements of my new home here in the blogosphere. It’s a resource I would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in getting started with WordPress and would appreciate a user-friendly support guide at the ready.

If you are reading this, you are witnessing my leap into living more full-out in my daily thoughts and action. Where in your life can you take a leap into Massive Forward Action Now? ☺

In an effort to practice taking risks outside of my comfort zone in the direction of my ideal life – I chose today to take the “massive forward action” of creating my new blog home. It would be easy for me to keep putting it off until every little piece and nuance were just right – yet I realize it is likely that ideal and elusive day may never arrive. So today is the day – Day One of my Web 2.0 journey towards greater integration of mindset mastery, greater stretches in creativity, greater efforts in vulnerability and authenticity, greater action towards full self-expression, and a whole lot of learnin’ in the realm of Web 2.0. I hope you will join me in this adventure as I continue on my growth path and hopefully succeed in supporting others on their own unique paths as well.
